Thanks for all of the birthday wishes. Today was pretty
good. But first I will tell you about my week.
So, my new area is cool. It is pretty small and I am in a
ward called Retornos. I wouldn´t say it is really pretty here. It is a big
desert. There isn´t much. There are three zones here in San Luis Potosi. It is
bigger than Leon. On Wednesday I did a baptismal interview. I was a little
nervous, but she passed and got baptized on Saturday. It is kinda scary knowing
that I can open or close the door to baptism. Thank goodness the Spirit really
helps out and lets you know what to ask. We got new mattresses in the mission.
That was fun. I would say the hardest thing is learning the new area and the
members. We have two investigators and there hasn`t been a baptism here for
like 7 or 8 months. My companion, Elder Villegas, who is from el estado de
Mexico, is pretty cool. He teaches things really well and is pretty chill. I
feel like we can have a lot more success, but I know it will come as time goes
by.
Today was fun. We went and played soccer and volleyball as a
zone. It was fun. Elder Gale, one of the district leaders, bought me some
sparkling cider. ha ha ha. After playing soccer we went to cosco, I bought a
card, and we bought a bunch of food, and a cake. I got sung to a lot today.
This morning we made empeñadas. They are really good. The family with rent from
make and sell them and we helped them today. They always give us some. This
week I will be going into Leon for leadership training (and what not).
But today was good and I don`t feel that old. ha hah ah
The pictures are
me after I chose my piece of the cake,
the chicken patty I made at a members house.
Basically this week has been cool, but also there isn´t much
to say.
I love you all so much
Have a great day and remember that every member is a
missionary.
Love Elder Michael Blake Crouch
ps. Dad, I`ve heard San Luis is sketchy, but I haven´t seen
that much bad.
